LA Reid, Demi Lovato, Britney Spears and Simon Cowell
The second series of the singing contest sees Demi Lovato and Britney Spears join the judging panel

The first episode of the new series of X Factor USA was watched by an average 8.5 million viewers - down about 3.5 million on last year's opening show.

Scheduled opposite two rival talent shows, it lost out in the ratings war.
Eleven million tuned in to watch the finale of America's Got Talent, while 10.7 million watched The Voice.
The second series of X Factor USA sees Britney Spears and Demi Lovato join the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell and LA Reid.
The Voice was a last minute addition to the broadcasting schedule, after NBC bosses decided to air the new series' third episode in direct competition with Cowell's show.
The media mogul complained last week of the move, calling it a "spoiling tactic" and "mean-spirited".
'Emotional high'
Despite the lower ratings, critics and fans were impressed with the contributions of Spears and Lovato, especially Spears's cutting remarks to underperforming contestants.
"I felt like I was listening to Alvin and the Chipmunks," she told one, while she told another: "It was just kind of bad."
Entertainment Weekly's Ken Tucker said: "She did just fine, rattling off a variety of No's to the punching-bag mediocrities the producers let in for comic relief, and offering sensibly measured praise and a few out-and-out raves the rest of the time."
People magazine said: "Spears still has a lot of charm in her expressive mouth - and eyes that easily convey whatever emotion the moment requires. She has simple, undeniable physicality."
MTV's Gil Kaufman said of the opening show: "Pound-for-pound, Wednesday night's two-hour season two premiere of the X Factor packed more emotional highs and lows into just two audition segments than most one-hour dramas manage in an entire episode."
And USA Today said of Lovato: "As the only judge too young to drink, she related well to the teenage contestants, complimenting them on their glitter, cuteness, lipstick and stage presence."
The two new judges were also a hit on social media, garnering around 1.4 million comments on social media platforms.
The series will be broadcast on ITV2 on 27 September.

Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman in The Master
Joaquin Phoenix (left) and Philip Seymour Hoffman star in The Master

Scientologists in Hollywood tried to derail a movie inspired by the religion's founder, its studio claims.
Unnamed Scientologists applied "lots of pressure" to stop The Master being made and have it changed once filming began, studio head Harvey Weinstein said.
The film's director Paul Thomas Anderson has stated that The Master was partly based on L Ron Hubbard, who founded Scientology in the 1950s.
The Church of Scientology has denied trying to block the film.
Weinstein told BBC News: "We've had pressure and we've resisted pressure. Originally people said to me 'don't make it'. Lots of pressure.
"And then, as we were making it, we had pressure to change it. Paul's not doing that and I didn't think he chose me [to work with] because I was going to acquiesce either."
The movie tells the story of a cult leader known as The Master, played by Philip Seymour Hoffman, and a troubled World War II veteran, played by Joaquin Phoenix, who is drawn into his world.

L Ron Hubbard in 1960
There are parallels between the film and the story of L Ron Hubbard

It won awards for acting and directing after its premiere at the Venice Film Festival and is seen as an early contender for The Oscars.
Asked about the reaction from Scientologists in Hollywood, Weinstein said: "I'm not going to get into names, but they feel strongly that they think it's a religion and as such they think the subject matter shouldn't be explored.
"Paul Thomas Anderson admitted in Venice that it was about L Ron Hubbard and the early days of his teaching and the creation of Scientology. But that's not all there is in the movie."
The film is also about the impact of fighting in World War II on the armed forces, he said.
"That's what attracted me to this script - my dad saw combat in World War II and he never got over it. It's about the journey that Joaquin Phoenix's character goes through, trying all sorts of things.
"I'm not sure how Scientologists will react. So far, without seeing it, it's negative - so I just urge people to go see it and then they can react." Weinstein is a producer and distributor who has worked on films including Pulp Fiction and The King's Speech.
'Still friends'
The Church of Scientology, meanwhile, have denied any suggestion that it had attempted to block the making of The Master and pointed to earlier statements in which the film-makers distanced themselves from the movement.
"The movie is a work of fiction and the director, producer and actors have said so," a Church of Scientology spokesperson said.
"For example, Paul Thomas Anderson is quoted as saying: 'This is a fabricated story: pure fiction.' And Philip Seymour Hoffman is quoted saying: 'It's not a Scientology movie.' There is nothing more to say about the matter."
Prominent Scientologists include Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Juliette Lewis and Priscilla Presley.
Paul Thomas Anderson recently said he had held a screening of The Master for Cruise, with whom he worked on the 1999 film Magnolia.
"Yes, I have shown him the film, and yes, we are still friends," Anderson said. "The rest is between me and Tom."

Indian store in Delhi, 24 Nov
Opponents say the move will have a drastic effect on smaller retailers

India's government has once again cleared a controversial plan to open up its lucrative retail sector to global supermarket chains.
Last year, the government suspended a similar plan after fierce opposition from its allies and political rivals.
International firms such as Walmart and Tesco will now be able to buy up to a 51% stake in multi-brand retailers.
The government on Friday also approved a plan to allow foreign airlines to buy 49% stakes in local carriers.
Correspondents say that Friday's cabinet decision was taken against the background of India's worsening economic outlook.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is reported to have told cabinet colleagues that "the time for big bang reform has come, we have to go down fighting".
The government was forced to back down after the cabinet first undertook to open up India's retail sector last November.
The move had been strongly opposed by tens of thousands of small businesses and cornershops who fear they will be put out of business.
But this latest move has already been welcomed by economists and industry who say it will transform the way Indians shop and boost the country's flagging economy.
The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party and the Communists called it a "betrayal of democracy".

Everyone has some kind of place that makes them feel transported to a magical realm. For some people it’http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;s castles with their noble history and crumbling towers. For others it’http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;s abandoned factories, ivy choked, a sense of foreboding around every corner. For us here at Curious Expeditions, there has always been something about libraries. Row after row, shelf after shelf, there is nothing more magical than a beautiful old library.
We had a chance to see just such a library on our recent visit to Prague. Tucked away on the top of a hill in Prague is the Strahov Monestary, the second oldest monastery in Prague. Inside, divided into two major halls, is a breathtaking library. The amazing Theological Hall contains 18,000 religious texts, and the grand Philosophical Hall has over 42,000 ancient philosophical texts. Both are stunningly gorgeous. Strahov also contains a beautiful cabinet of curiosities, including bits of a Dodo bird, a large 18th century electrostatic device, numerous wonderfully old ocean specimens, and for unclear reasons many glass cases full of waxen fruit. Our delight was manifest.
Shocked into a library induced euphoria, Curious Expeditions has attempted to gather together the world’http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;s most beautiful libraries for you starting with our own pictures of Strahov. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

At the end of this post we at Curious Expeditions asked for beautiful libraries we had overlooked. Turns out, there were a lot. In fact, more than we will ever be able to post. But in the spirit of the compendium below we have put up some of our favorites from the reader suggested libraries. Thanks to everyone who suggested a library, it’http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;s fantastic to see that we aren’http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;t the only ones with a bad case of librophila. While there were a number of amazing modern libraries suggested, such as the Phillips Exeter Academy Library, the new Seattle Public Library, the leafy Washoe County Library in Reno and the astounding looking Biblioteca Vasconcelos in Mexico, we leave it up to someone else to assemble a beautiful modern libraries compendium.
For those of you still in the grip of Librophilia, if that’http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;s possible, you can have a more immersive experience at the panoramas of the Handelingenkamer and Waldassen libraries, as well as watch a lovely video of the Bernadotte Library. One can find more Strahov pictures at the Curious Expeditions flickr account, and many other library pictures at the Flickr “http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;Libraries and Librarians”http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/; group.
If all this library leering has made you long to hold a book in your hands, then let us suggest “http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;Libraries”http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/; by the outstanding photographer Candida Höfer. A number of the more beautiful pictures in this set are by Ms. Höfer. For those looking for a gorgeous library closer to home, look no farther then “http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;Libraries We Love”http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/; a book and blog dedicated to wonderful libraries in the U.S. Also of interest is “http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;The Most Beautiful Libraries in the World.”http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/; If even those can’http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;t satisfy your desires try “http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/;The Renaissance Library Collection”http://curiousexpeditions.org.nyud.net/; which sells calenders, greeting cards, and posters of nothing but, yes, libraries.
A tip of the hat to excellent blogs The Nonist and Sheila Omalley who had previously compiled some lovely library images. A number of the beautiful images in the compendium are from that ever wonderful resource Flickr.
Finally, if anyone feels that any particularly beautiful library has been overlooked please let us know.
