A disseminating session arranged by the Department of Public Work and Transport was conducted at Psar Deum Thkov Commune Hall about the flood protection phase 3. The session on the morning of 23rd August was participated by Japanese construction company representatives, the commune chief, district officers and local residents.
Mr. Sam Piseth director of the public work department informed the residents that the Flood Protection Project's part which consisted of building a drainage system along road#163 with the length of 196 meteres would take approximately 75 days to complete (started from 27th of August 2012). Therefore, during this period there would be temporary traffic re-adjustment for this road from 2 way access into one-way road for motorbike only. The experts asked the residents to be understanding and cooperative during this period and they promised to complete the work as soon as possible according to the plan.
